TECHNICAL

SCL-90; SCL-150; SCL-300+
Intended
use:
The
electroconductive paste ( lubricant ) is intended for reduction
and stabilization of electrical resistance of demountable contacting
connections manufactured from similar and different metals in
compliance with State Standard Specification (ГОСТ) 10434-82.
Application of this lubricant removes the necessity of application
of other arrangements for stabilization of electrical resistance:
plate springs, metal coating of the contacting surfaces, etc.
The lubricant can be used within the range of working
temperatures SCL-90: from -60°C to +90°C
(short-term operation up to 150°C), SCL-150: from -60°C to +150°C
(short-term operation up to 250°C), SCL-300+: from -30°C to
+950°C (short-term operation up to 1000°C),including
operation in an environment of aggressive industrial exhausts,
high humidity, in dangerously explosive and fire danger productions,
under the conditions of humid sea tropical climate.
Method
of application:
1.
Prior to applying the lubricant onto the contact surfaces, the
latter should be preliminarily smoothed out with a card file
or metallic brush. The abrasive dust should be removed with
rags.
2. A thin layer of the lubricant, with a thickness of not exceeding
1 mm, should be applied onto either of the contacting surfaces,
with the help of a spatula.
3. The contact should be assembled according to ГОСТ 10434-82
or according to assembly instructions.
4. The excessive lubricant squeezed out to the peripheral part
of the contact, should be collected and placed into the can
containing the lubricant.
5. When performing repairs of the contact, the residuals of
the lubricant should be removed with the help of an organic
solvent, then the surface should be smoothed out according to
item 1.
6. After application of the lubricant, the can should be closed
tightly. The can should be stored in a cool place.
Safety
requirements:
The
"SCL- 90", " SCL-150", "SCL-300+"
lubricant are explosion-safe, fire-safe, it does not have general
toxic and irritating effect towards a human organism.
Working with the lubricant should be performed while wearing
fabric gloves. After working with the lubricant, and in case
of contact of the skin with the lubricant, the hands should
be washed with water and soap or other detergents.
Manufacturer's
warranty:
The
manufacturer guarantees compliance of the lubricant with the
requirements of Technical Specifications in case of observance
of the rules of transportation and storage.
The warranty period shall be 3 years since the day of putting
the contacts with the lubrication into operation.
Terms of storage of the lubricant in a tightly closed container
of the manufacturer shall be 2 years.

Anwendungsgebiet:
Leitungsfahiges
sind fur Reduzierung bzw. Gleichhaltung von elektrisches Widerstandes
zerlegbarer Ein- und Mehrmetallkontaktverbindungen nach der russischen
Norm ГОСТ 10434-82 erarbeitet. Dank dieses Fettes entfallen andere
Gleichhaltensverfahren fur elektrischen Widerstand, wie Tellerfedern,
Metalluberzuge von Kontaktoberflachen usw. Das Fett kann im Temperaturbereich
SCL-90: von - 60 bis +90 С (kurzfristig bis 135°
С); SCL-150: von - 60 bis +150 С (kurzfristig bis 250°
С); SCL-300+: von - 30 bis +950 С (kurzfristig bis 1000°
С), dabei auch unter Bedingungen aggressiver Industrie-Emissionen,
erhohter Feuchtigkeit, in explosions- und feuergefahrlichen Unternehmen,
im feuchttropischen Meeresklima betrieben werden.
Verwendungsart:
1.
Vor dem Fettauftragen sind Kontaktoberflachen mit der Draht- oder
Metallburste zu reinigen. Schleifstaub ist mittels trockenes Tuches
zu beseitigen.
2. Fett ist auf eine der Kontaktoberflachen mittells eines Spachtels
dunn mit der Schichtdicke max. 1 mm aufzutragen.
3. Kontaktenmontage ist nach ГОСТ 10434-82 oder Montagenvorschriften
durchzufuhren.
4. An den Kontaktrand ausgepresste Fettuberreste sind einzusammeln
und in die Fettdose einzulegen.
5. Bei der Kontaktinstandsetzung sind Fettreste durch organisches
Losemittel zu beseitigen. Danach sind Kontakte zu reinigen, wie
im P.1 beschrieben wird.
6. Nach der Verwendung ist Fettdose dicht zu schliessen. Kuhl aufbewahren.
Sicherheitsanforderungen:
Fett
SCL-90 (SCL-150, SCL-300+) ist explosions- und feuersicher sowie
hat keine allgemeine toxische und reizende Wirkung.
Bei den Fettarbeiten wird es empfohlen, Stoffhandschuhe einzusetzen.
Nach der Arbeit und bei dem Handenhautkontakt sind Hande mit Seife
oder Waschmittel zu waschen.
Gewahrleistung:
Der
Hersteller garantiert, dass das Fett den technischen Anweisungen
unter Berucksichtigung der Transport- und Lagerbedingungen entspricht.
Gewahrleistungsfrist ist drei Jahre seit dem Datum der Inbetriebnahme
von Fettkontakten.
Lagerfrist von Fett in dicht geschlossenen Behaltern des Herstellers
betragt zwei Jahre.

Destination:
La graisse est destinee a baisser et a stabiliser la resistance
electrique des contacts amovibles en metaux homogenes et heterogenes
conformement a GOST 10434-82. En cas l'utilisation de la graisse,
il n'est pas necessaire d'employer d'autres moyens de stabilisation
de la resistance electrique des rondelles de Belleville, des revetements
metalliques des surfaces de contact, etc. La graisse peut etre
utilisee dans une gamme de temperatures
de travail SCL-90: de - 60 a +90 С (pour une courte duree jusqu'a
135°C); SCL-150: de - 60 a +150 С (pour une courte duree jusqu'a
250°C); SCL-300+: de - 30 a +950 С (pour une courte duree jusqu'a
1000°C), notamment en zone de forte pollution industrielle,
d'humidite elevee, dans des produits explosibles et inflammables,
en conditions de climat marin tropical humide.
Mode
d'emploi:
1.
Avant d'appliquer la graisse sur les surfaces de contact, il faut
nettoyer ces dernieres au moyen d'une cardobrosse ou d'une brosse
metallique. Eliminer la poussiere abrasive avec un chiffon sec.
2. Sur une des surfaces de contact, appliquer a l'aide d'une spatule
une fine couche de graisse d'une epaisseur d'1 mm au plus.
3. Effectuer l'assemblage du contact selon GOST 10434-82 ou les
instructions de montage.
4. Recueillir la graisse excedentaire refoulee a la peripherie
du contact et la mettre dans le bocal avec l'huile.
5. En cas de reparation du contact, eliminer la graisse restante
avec un solvant organique, puis effectuer son nettoyage, comme
indique au p. 1.
6. Apres l'utilisation de la graisse, fermer le bocal hermetiquement.
Stocker dans un endroit frais.
Regles
de securite:
La graisse SCL-90 (SCL-150, SCL-300+) n'est ni explosible ni inflammable,
elle n'a pas d'effet toxique ni irritant sur l'organisme.
Il est recommande travailler avec la graisse avec des gants en
tissu. Apres le travail avec la graisse et si de la graisse est
tombee sur la peau, se laver les mains avec de l'eau et du savon
ou tout autre produit de nettoyage.
Garanties
de fabrication:
Le fabricant garantit la conformite de la graisse aux exigences
des specifications techniques a condition d'observer les conditions
de transport et de stockage.
Le delai de garantie est de 3 ans depuis le jour de mise en service
des contacts avec la graisse.
La duree de stockage de la graisse est de 2 ans dans l'emballage
du fabricant hermetiquement ferme.

on the SCL-90 conductive lubricant
The
SCL-90 conductive lubricant has an application in several types
of equipment operated by Metrobeton, JSC.
1. The SCL-90
super conductive lubricant ( lubricant )is
used in a MBK machine (that welds reinforcing cages for concrete
microtunneling pipes) for lubricating its electrode wheel and contact
roller. Lubrication is performed through an integrated lubrication
system.
Application of the SCL-90 lubricant ensures normal temperature regime
of the welding unit in operation and provides overheat control.
2. The
SCL-90 lubricant
is used to lubricate contact blocks of traveling cranes - which,
as experience has shown, notably reduces contact arcing and, consequently,
keeps contacts from burning or sticking in extreme operating regimes,
especially during short and frequent start/stop cycles.
As to its service characteristics, the SCL-90
conductive lubricant has proved to meet the
requirements for normal operation of the equipment.

Concerning application
of the EPS-98 ( SCL-150) conductive lubricant increasing reliability
of contact connections.
Excessive overheating of electric contacts
often causes electric equipment failures, which sometimes leads
to inflammation. Thermal inspections of substations show that overheating
is most common for demountable contact connections of electrical
facilities and external conductors.
Technical requirements for contact connections of conductors are
regulated by GOST 10434 (State Standard) - Electric contact connections.
Classification. General specifications.
According
to the requirements, contact connections of various conductors (aluminum/aluminum,
aluminum/copper, etc.) are to be produced using resistance stabilizing
elements, such as disc springs, non-ferrous fasteners, copper-aluminum
buses or lugs, protective metal coatings.
The above-mentioned stabilizing measures are rather expensive and
usually not provided during installation or with a substation in
operation. Therefore GOST 10434 modified by amendment 3 of 01/01/1991
allows application of conductive lubricants and other conductive
materials if it is confirmed by test results as per GOST 17441 (Electrical
contact connections. Acceptance and methods of tests) and indicated
in the standards or specifications for specific types of electrical
devices. One of such stabilizing materials that was developed, tested
and put into production is the SCL-150 super conductive lubricant
( lubricant ).
The lubricant is used for reducing and stabilizing electrical resistance
of demountable contact connections as per GOST 10434, and therefore
provides:
- transient contact resistance reduced 2 to10 times (up to 100 times
in some cases), with stabilization at a low level at temperatures
up to 150 0 C (up to 250 0 C in short periods);
- protection of contacts during frequent and prolonged overcurrents
or overheating up to 150 0 C, without noticeable alteration of the
initial electrical values;
- contact corrosion protection;
- reduced electrical loss
(1 kg of the lubricant providing 10 000 kWh
of saved energy per year for common industrial networks and up to
100 000 kWh per year for metallurgical and chemical plants).
For
three years the SCL-150 lubricant
has been successfully used in power engineering facilities of Russian
industrial and transport companies, also having an application in
foreign countries, such as the United States, Germany, Israel.
The
SCL-150 lubricant
was first used by RAO "UES of
Russia" in the beginning of 2000
- in the substations of Leningradskaya (750 kV) and Loukhi (330
kV), when repairing VVD-330
switches, disconnects of RNDZ-35/1000
and RNDZ-110/630 types, terminals,
0.4 kV busbar
and cable connections. In all cases after applying the lubricant
to the demountable contact connections the overall impedance of
the poles was reduced 2 or 3 times and remained at that level. It
was confirmed by the results of thermal inspections in 2001 and
2002, compared to a similar inspection made in 2000.
Therefore, with reference to the results of the lubricant test application
in the facilities of RAO "UES
of Russia", it can be concluded
that the SCL-150 conductive
lubricant reduces transient resistance in split bolted contact connections
of high-voltage electric equipment and 0.4
kV busbar and cable systems at least
2 times. Moreover, transient resistance stabilization at a lower
level can be also observed.
In view of the above, to achieve increased reliability and efficiency
of demountable contact connections of substation equipment, power-distribution
and cable systems and 0.4 kV
electrical facilities during repairs, Department
of Electrical Systems recommends the SCL-150
conductive lubricant.
